THE TEAM
robert eurlings
CEO and Lead Designer
With nearly 20 years of experience in sales, he never quite found a place where the fit felt 'just right.' However, after having friends who worked in game development, he became curious and decided to explore what it takes to make games. This led to him falling completely in love with the process. After careful consideration, he decided to quit his job and attend school for several years to learn as much as he could about game development, always with the goal of eventually starting his own indie studio.
Sara geuENS
Team Lead and Environmental Designer
She has studied everything from photography to VFX to game design, and has several years of experience in the field. In between working as a freelancer for game studios, she also decided to teach 3D art, animation, and game design classes—something she loves doing. However, her true passion lies in making games... and pandas.
Lise Craninx
Marketing and Community Manager
Having studied psychology and with a couple of years in research under her belt, Lise was looking for a career switch that could make her feel connected to the people her work affects. She bruteforced her way into the gaming dev scene, because she was inspired by how meaningful games can be in people’s lives. Now responsible for marketing and community management, she’s eager to get the studio’s labours of love in front of the right people’s eyes; and cannot wait to hear what the world has to say about our games.
Lorenz Oldenburg
Game Developer and Lead 3D Artist
After a year of coding education, Lorenz decided that making games would be a more interesting career choice. He then pursued game development, where he met the team, bonding over late-night work sessions for school projects and burning the midnight oil to get it all done. A great lover of trolling and beer, there’s no day that goes by without a good laugh.
Robin BAETEN
Game Developer
Robin’s a wizard when it comes to coding. You know, one of those people who truly loves it, and it shows in everything he does. He went to the same school as us, just in a different year, so we only ever had a quick chat back then. Later, he spotted us on LinkedIn and decided to reach out. Our teachers had sung his praises even at the time, so we were more than happy to meet up and see how he clicked with the team. Now, it honestly feels like he’s been part of it from the start.
Daaf Wouters
Animator and VFX Artist
Daaf doesn’t do anything without making a big splash. With a background studying film animation and years of experience animating in advertisement, his love for gaming finally connected with his career when he found Couch Potato Studios. Animations are as close as he can get to doing cool magic, he thought, so he became a veritable special effects magician. Without his eye for detail and stylistic touch, every move your character makes falls very flat. His bodacious contributions to our games are second only to his contribution to the team’s spirit.
